Cally Taylor | Boss Lady & Head Gardener
Cally is the green thumb and driving force behind Golden Gardens & Pet Services. With over 10 years of experience in the gardening and landscaping world, she’s passionate about creating beautiful, tidy outdoor spaces that clients can be proud of. From small backyards to big commercial jobs, Cally’s all about making gardens shine! Learning the ropes and maintaining the property where she grew up with her parents with pride in Healsville, she just loved the idea of working outdoors full time. Completing her apprenticeship in Parks & Gardens Horticulture at Tudor Village in Lilydale, she still helps many of those originals clients to this day, out on her own.
Cally grew up in a house full of furry chaos — surrounded by Golden Retrievers, Boxers, and lots of cats — so while plants are her main focus, she’s always ready for a sneaky cuddle with a four-legged friend along the way!

Megan Groenewegen | School Holiday Super Sitter
When she’s not busy being a full-time teacher, Megan opens her home (and heart!) to our doggy guests during school holidays, Christmas, Easter and other peak times. Megan shares her life with two adorable Golden Retrievers — 3-year-old Wooferson (dark golden) and the youngest member of the pack, Humphrey D Dog.
Dogs staying with Megan are treated like family — they join in on beach adventures, creek splashes, park playdates, and regular group catch-ups with Brodie and her crew. Her backyard is a doggy paradise, complete with toys galore and plenty of space for digging and exploring. When your dog stays with Megan, they’re guaranteed a fun-filled, tail-wagging holiday!
Nico & Melissa Jeffrey | The Backup Dream Team
Nico & Melissa are not only our best friends — they’re also part of our extended dog-sitting family! Proud paw-rents of Larry (Evie’s cheeky litter mate brother), they step in during peak times when Brodie and Megan are fully booked.
Although they both work full time (unless they’re on holidays), Nico & Melissa offer a loving home for 1 or 2 extra pups, making sure every dog feels like part of the family. With Larry leading the welcome committee, visiting dogs are in for plenty of playtime, cuddles, and fun! Nico usually finishes earlier than most, so there’s still plenty of time in the afternoon for doggy cuddles & playtime. And don’t worry — Brodie usually covers any daytime care that’s needed, so the pups are always well looked after.
When he’s not hanging out with the dogs, Nico works as a greenskeeper at a local golf course — so if he’s not on the tools there, you’ll often spot him lending a hand to Cally and Steve, keeping gardens (and fairways) looking their best!
Brodie Whitmore | Pet Care Extraordinaire
I’m the friendly face behind the pet side of Golden Gardens & Pet Services. Whether it’s dog walking, daycare adventures, or snuggly pet sitting, I’m all about making sure every animal feels like part of the family. I’m also the person behind all our social media & website content — so when you get in touch, it’s usually me you’re chatting with! I’ve been crazy about dogs and in particular Golden Retrievers ever since I watched Homeward Bound & then Air Bud as a kid, and now I get to spend my days surrounded by amazing pets. My goal is to keep both pets and their humans happy, with plenty of love, fun, and photo updates along the way. Ive been around animals ever since I was a kid dreaming to one day be a vet. Although life took me to many other paths, I am right back to where I should be. I have studied in Animal Technology, Vet Nursing and Dog Behaviour, worked in a number of animal related industries and most of all love and understand dogs, which is what gives me the confidence and trust I have in yours, even when you don’t have it yourself.
Chadwick “Digger” Boseman | The Boss Man
Digger is the true ruler of the Golden Gardens & Pet Services empire (just don’t tell Cally). Adopted by Cally at the age of 15, now 17, Digger took on the role of supervisor-in-chief — overseeing the team from his favourite sunny spots, inspecting garden jobs from a safe distance, and keeping a watchful eye on all the visiting dogs (with just the right amount of attitude).
When Digger strolls down the corridor, the dogs know who’s in charge — and they don’t dare get in his way! Sleek, mysterious, and always on duty (unless he’s having a well-earned nap), Digger makes sure everything runs to his high feline standards.
Steven Revell | Cally’s Right (and Left) Hand Man
Steve has been Cally’s go-to guy for over 5 years, bringing the extra muscle, the banter, and the good vibes to every job. What started as a flexible gig quickly turned into a perfect match — Steve and Cally work together like a well-oiled mower, tackling gardens big and small with serious skill. No fuss, no faff — Steve’s all about getting stuck in and getting the job done to the highest standard (and probably faster than you’d expect!).
A lifelong animal lover (even if his mum did spend his childhood saying, “Don’t let the dog lick your ice cream!”), Steve has a soft spot for every furry friend he meets. He’s known for handing out quirky nicknames to the visiting pups and can often be heard singing them a tune after a hard day’s work — whether they appreciate it or not!
